The Beginning - Editing

Hello bloggers! Here this blog marks the beginning of the editing journey for our final task film. At first, I was feeling unsure about the whole process because we started late on this due to us having a break right after filming. But I got to work anyway on my behalf.

When it came to editing the films, I aided in giving my criticism of what footage should be used for each scene from our storyboard. As well as what order they should be in. This was essential in the process because it made sure everyone's criteria were met, along with the exam rules.

I gave my opinion that we should move the scene of chasing at the start of the film rather than the end so it can be an attention seeker. However, my decision was disagreed with. The team believed it should begin with the issue being introduced rather than the murder happening right away. Instead, the chase should be mentioned at the end while it leads to the killing which can lead to  climax. I respected this decision. I eventually liked it afterwards because I can see how going straight away with an important scene can make the audience clueless, and not feel any type of attraction towards the plot. Not reaching this element can destroy the entire meaning of the opening scene. Which then, leads to a bad movie. Without reaching the audience, the lack of no connection makes it so the audience drifts away. So I thank my team for pointing this element out.

I still continued to make my opinion on more alterations. Yet, the rest of the editing journey still awaits. But that is all for now, thank you for reading.
