Ced: “ Hello! Welcome to the GhostReaders Podcast, today we are covering a fearful horror film. The Yuletide Mystery. Who do we have today?”
Andrea: Well Hello! My name is Andrea, and I am so, so, happy that you invited me here today to talk about the Yuletide Mystery. I worked really hard with my group and I can't wait to talk about how we went through this whole journey to create this masterpiece.
Ced: “Well, nice to meet you, Andrea! I see that you have a current trending film named the Yuletide Mystery. Is it fine if I can ask you a few questions?”
Andrea: Well of course! This is a podcast, after all, so go on!
Ced: “Perfect! The title and the production of the whole thing look fantastic, How did you iterate technologies- software, hardware, and online - in this project?“
Andrea: There was many ways that technology was used in the creation of this film. To begin with, we actually used a phone. Well, a lot of phones. All of our phones. mostly Angelica's phone. We all used her phone and I used this phone holder to create the scenery and the correct angles for the film to create the horror and that eerie feeling that you feel.
Andrea: And also! We used applications such as Adobe Premiere Pro which was 90% of what we used to create the editing as well as the titles and include our names and our production name within the film. And it was very easy to use I really liked it and it was very convenient to add the music and it was such a very interesting thing. Although I never used this app before, I really like learning on the way as well as being with and collaborating with all my team. It was definitely very fun.
Ced: “That looks like it took some time and patience. But it was all worth it, it looked so surreal! I loved the eerie vibe it gave me”
Ced: “Finally, How did your production skills develop throughout this project?“
Andrea: So interestingly enough, I have. As I mentioned previously, I've never ever used editing software just like Adobe Premiere Pro. Never ever. So this is actually a first time for me. So to get straight to a project with no prior experience, it was definitely a little bit of a hassle at first. I'm not going to lie, it was definitely a little confusing. It did take some time and patience to learn you know how to use techniques. How to add in some text and some transitions but it all worked out in the end and it was very amazing. As well as editing all of this and using this software. We also had to create a storyboard which basically is like a layout to show what scenes are going to be with what description and what uniforms or clothing and what emotions are going to use as well as the makeup. So, to create those types of digital storyboards. They also had to use apps like Canva, which introduced me to how to make different types of organizers, Wallpapers, PowerPoints. And it was just very amazing. I never knew how a lot of digital sources were very open and easy to use.
Ced: “Everyone starts somewhere, and that is pretty shocking for a first-timer. But I loved that your group collaborated like a family!”
Andrea: Well of course! We were all friends already before this assignment. So to do this assignment together it grew us very close together and working with them was amazing I learned how they were and we even got closer together in our personal lives and we just created a better bond. I really loved this whole experience and I would never ever trade it in for anything in the world.
Ced: “Well, it looks like you had a wonderful time. And that is all everyone for today’s podcast! “
Andrea: Bye everyone! And thank you for hearing me out. And definitely check out the yuletide mystery. And I can't wait to see all of your reactions. Thank you for inviting me again!
